Question for Gene"

Question:  "Where do you see the Libertarian Party in five years?"

Gene's answer:  Well, I have intellectual leaders in India and Africa reading Murray Rothbard's book, "For A New Liberty:  The Libertarian Manifesto," so we can expect that to impact those people over time.

If we don't get paper books into people's hands, then the LP will be a farm team for the Republican Party into perpetuity.  Computer training is a nice substitute, but sociologists teach us that it is insufficient for the full educational process, as only books and face-to-face education teach students to think critically.  Computers do good at teaching people to regurgitate information for multiple choice tests, but they are horrible at teaching comparison and contrasts.

If we don't get the 82% on Americans who profess faith in Jesus Christ on board, then we're pissing in the wind to think we will ever be a major force in America, as politics is the arena wherein the religions of the world do battle for prominence and survival.  Tolstoy gets the Christians in.

In five years, I see the LP reading lots of books and taking over the world or not reading books and going nowhere.
